…and that’s when the MAGIC happens

You hear that phrase a lot. You hear it on podcasts and in blogs all the time. Heck, I even say that phrase, pretty regularly.

WHAT IS “MAGIC”?

WHY DO WE NEED MAGIC?

HOW DO WE MAKE MAGIC HAPPEN?

Magic is that moment when life just works. Works BIG.

The magic is that experience of “flow” or synchronicity or culmination when all the things you are working on suddenly shift.

Magic is the “I forgot how big” moments of life. (Check out the link to the “I forgot how big” clip from the phenomenal movie “Joe vs the Volcano.”)

Your moment of magic is your own.

It might be that you just finally build enough of the right muscle (hustle muscle, gratitude muscle, resourcefulness muscle, willingness to change muscle) and a thing that has felt hard stops feeling hard. It might be about the additive value of putting the right elements together in the right combination. It might just be getting unstuck at long last.

I think magic and miracles and all that woo woo stuff is real. I don’t mean the Harry Potter kind of magic. I mean really unexplainable things happen. Every day. And they are real and not just a coincident.

I believe that we simply do not yet know how to track the flow of cause and effect, so it seems “magic”.

Magic doesn’t happen by accident. We MAKE magic.

  • We make magic because we have so much work to do and doing it all the hard way is dumb (poor strategy).
  • We make magic because the world (and even we ourselves) needs hope and possibility all around us. Magic produces hope and empowerment.
  • We make magic because magic touches our brains (minds) and hearts (emotions) in the same way that story does. It produces possibility for something new and better and bigger.

How does magic happen?

You make magic. You make it by doing the work. You make it by persevering. You make it by being open to seeing and appreciating the magic in every single day.
The magic of a flower blooming. The magic of a baby waking just as its mother thinks of it. The magic of being alive.

You experience magic every day. You make magic every day.

Observe the magic in your life and say YES! Yes, I believe in magic and I will help create more!

YES! Thank you for my life. I forgot how big.
